Welcome to Greenhills
Greenhills Art Centre is a destination for immersive residential art retreats and creative workshops in the Western Australian Wheatbelt, just 15 minutes from York and around 90 minutes from Perth.
Set within a character-filled historic home, Greenhills brings together inspiring artists, generous studio time, comfortable accommodation and shared home-cooked meals in a relaxed country setting.
With small groups and everything in one place, guests can step away from everyday life, immerse themselves in their creativity and enjoy the company of others who share their love of making art.
Stay on site in one of our individually furnished, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own character and period details. With a mix of private and twin accommodation, most guests can enjoy their own room and settle into Greenhills for the duration of their retreat.
As Greenhills continues to grow, additional accommodation is being added. Independent Stay options are also available on selected retreats for guests who prefer to arrange their own accommodation nearby or stay in their caravan.

Meals
Home-cooked meals, tea and coffee are included during your stay, except where otherwise noted for individual retreats.
Studio
Generous studio access in our spacious, air-conditioned 250sqm working studio, with easels, tables and specialist equipment.
Linen
Bed linen and towels are supplied for all residential guests.
Wi-Fi
Complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Laundry
Complimentary use of the washing machine and dryer is available during your stay.
Getting Here
Greenhills is around 90 minutes from Perth. Airport transfers may be available for interstate and international guests by prior arrangement.
Artist residencies have been an important part of Greenhills Art Centre, offering artists the time, space and freedom to focus on their own creative practice in the quiet of the Western Australian Wheatbelt.
While we are not offering a scheduled artist residency programme in 2027, you can still explore our residency information and learn more about future opportunities at Greenhills.
